In this sermon, Ted Olsen (Global Fellowship) discusses the importance of attitude and availability when answering the call of God to go to the nations.
In today’s passage, we see King Jesus call His disciples, and us, to take the good news of his life, death, burial, and resurrection to all of creation.
In this week's message, Pastor Scott lays the biblical foundation for our purpose statement: Freedom Church exists to glorify God by making and growing more followers of Jesus Christ. He also outlines some goals and expectations for 2019.
In today's workshop, we work through a "Personal Disciple-making Plan." We want every follower of Christ to be making and growing more followers of Christ, all to the glory of God. This practical workshop helps you do just that. Since this was a workshop, there will be no video!
Pastor Ted preaches our Christmas sermon this year. He looks at Luke 2:1-7 and the importance of making room for Jesus in our lives.
We are taking a quick sprint through the grand story of the Bible. Last week, we looked at the foundational chapters of Genesis 1-11. Understanding these chapters are key to understanding all of Scripture. So much error that we see in the world and in the church stem from an improper understanding and application of those chapters.
All of history is moving to the point where God’s plan of salvation and redemption for the universe will be complete, when, as the last book in the Bible says, “‘Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”(Revelation 21:3-4)
Today, we turn our attention to the rest of the OT. Remember the promise from Genesis 3:15.
We all have questions about what it means to live a Christian life. We all need help. Over the next six weeks, we are going to be introduced to several concepts that go into living “The Christian Life.” The follower of Christ is encouraged to “live a life worthy of the calling you have received” (Ephesians 4:1). We will discuss several topics like assurance, baptism, prayer, devotions, Bible study, God, church, spiritual disciplines, outreach, and discipleship. My prayer is that over the next six weeks, you will grow in your faith in God and love for Him and other people.
Today, we look at outreach. What is outreach, evangelism, discipleship? Why do we share the gospel? Who do we share with? How/What do we share?
Remember, these are overviews, the basics, and not intended to be an exhaustive answer to the question.
